* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Des Moines County in southeastern Iowa...
  Southern Henry IA County in southeastern Iowa...
  Southeastern Jefferson County in southeastern Iowa...
  Northeastern Lee County in southeastern Iowa...
  Northeastern Van Buren County in southeastern Iowa...
  Southwestern Henderson County in west central Illinois...

* Until 930 AM CDT Saturday.

* At 319 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Burlington, Mount Pleasant, Oquawka, West Burlington, New London, 
  Dallas City, Danville, Stronghurst, Birmingham, Salem, Middletown, 
  Carman, Stockport, Gladstone, Lockridge, Terre Haute, Hillsboro, 
  Rome, Westwood and Gulf Port.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

MORNING FOR DES MOINES, SOUTHERN HENRY IA, SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON, 
NORTHEASTERN LEE, NORTHEASTERN VAN BUREN AND SOUTHWESTERN HENDERSON 
COUNTIES...

At 409 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated widespread moderate to at 
times heavy rain occurring across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 
inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 
to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
