The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Rush County in central Indiana...
  Henry County in east central Indiana...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 434 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding 
  across the warned area. State Road 3 was impassable in spots with 
  waist high water in the town of New Castle. Between 2 and 4 inches 
  of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch 
  in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  New Castle, Rushville, Knightstown, Carthage, Spiceland, Shirley, 
  Kennard, Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Lewisville, Mount Summit, 
  Glenwood, Straughn, Dunreith, Cadiz, Springport, Greensboro, 
  Blountsville, Mays and Summit Lake State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

  inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 2 inches 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already 
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
