The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Pulaski County in south central Kentucky...
* Until 1100 PM EDT.
* At 757 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Science Hill, Hogue, Pulaski and Eubank.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS
EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN PULASKI COUNTY...
At 936 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.25 inches of rain
fell from earlier storms. Additional heavy rainfall amounts up to
1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. This heavy rainfall
could allow any ongoing flash flooding to continue or worsen.
