The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Laurel County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 1100 PM EDT.

* At 804 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  London, Sublimity City, London-Corbin Airport, Pittsburg, 
  Fariston, Levi Jackson S.P., Maplesville, Bernstadt and Brock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS 
EVENING FOR CENTRAL LAUREL COUNTY...

At 1004 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
rain fell from earlier storms. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 
inch are possible in portions of the warned area from the new 
thunderstorms. This heavy rainfall could allow any ongoing flash 
flooding to continue or worsen.
