Northern Kankakee County in northeastern Illinois...
Southern Kendall County in northeastern Illinois...
Will County in northeastern Illinois...
* Until 1230 PM CDT.
* At 937 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms with rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour. Up to 3
inches of rainfall was reported from these storms near Ottawa.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly after the onset of
heavy rainfall.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches,
streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor
drainage areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Joliet, Tinley Park, Kankakee, New Lenox, Park Forest, Mokena,
Bourbonnais, Frankfort, Bradley, Morris, Channahon, Minooka,
Steger, Manteno, Braidwood and Wilmington.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR NORTHEASTERN LA SALLE, GRUNDY, NORTHERN KANKAKEE,
SOUTHERN KENDALL AND WILL COUNTIES...
At 1039 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rainfall had begun to move out of the area. Up to 2.5
inches of rainfall occurred between Ottawa and Morris from these
storms. Standing water may be slow to recede over the next few hours.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor
drainage areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Joliet, Kankakee, New Lenox, Park Forest, Mokena, Bourbonnais,
Frankfort, Bradley, Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Steger, Manteno,
Braidwood, Wilmington, Coal City, Marseilles and Peotone.
Minor street flooding was reported earlier near Joliet.
