* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Bath County in east central Kentucky...
Northwestern Fleming County in east central Kentucky...
* Until 1130 PM EDT.
* At 823 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.75 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Flemingsburg, Fairview, Pecks Ridge, Craintown, Tilton,
Elizaville, Sherburne, Nepton, Cowan, Pebble, Bethel, Poplar
Plains, Ewing and Flemingsburg Junction.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected. Flash flooding is possibly ongoing already.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose an
immediate threat.
However, a Flood Watch remains in effect until 800 AM EDT Friday for
portions of east central, northeast, and southeast Kentucky.
