The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Vermilion County in east central Illinois...

* Until 800 AM CDT.

* At 354 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have 
  fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Danville, Hoopeston, Georgetown, Westville, Tilton, Catlin, 
  Oakwood, Rossville, Ridge Farm, Potomac, Fairmount, Sidell, 
  Rankin, Fithian, Allerton, Vermilion Regional Airport, Bismarck, 
  Belgium, Indianola and Henning.

This includes the following State Parks...
Harry Babe Woodyard State Natural Area, Kickapoo State Recreation 
Area and Middle Fork State Fish and Wildlife Area.

This includes  Interstate 74 between  mile markers 198 and 220.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
