* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Wise County in southwestern Virginia...

* Until 1245 AM EDT.

* At 948 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Wise, Pound and Pardee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* At 1149 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  produced heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. Wise County Sheriffs office
           social media page shared in image with water across both
           lanes of 23 North in Pound, Virginia.
