* Flash Flood Warning for...
East Central Washington County in southwestern Utah...
* Until 615 PM MDT.
* At 311 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in Zion National Park, with the heaviest rainfall about
to move into Zion Canyon. Up to 0.25 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons, normally
dry washes, and creeks.

At 356 PM MDT, Zion National Park Dispatch has reported flash
flooding in multiple slot canyons west of the scenic drive within
Zion Canyon, including Telephone and Behunin Canyons. Between 0.4 and
0.6 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
