The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Kane County in southern Utah...
* Until 630 PM MDT.
* At 332 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch. Up to 0.25 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes and
slot canyons
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch.

At 521 PM MDT, Earlier thunderstorms with heavy rainfall produced
doppler radar estimated rainfall between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain over
Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
