The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Tucker County in northeastern West Virginia...
* Until 1115 AM EDT.
* At 815 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of
1.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Parsons, Hendricks, Hambleton, Elk, Blackwater Falls, Red Creek,
Canaan Valley State Park, Davisville, Cortland and Pheasant Run.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.8
inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Parsons, Hendricks, Hambleton, Elk, Blackwater Falls, Red Creek,
Canaan Valley State Park, Davisville, Cortland and Pheasant Run.
Roads were flooded and impassible along River Road and Rt 72 just
southeast of Hendricks.
