Northern Woodford County in central Kentucky...
* Until 930 AM EDT.
* At 630 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Frankfort, Shelbyville, Eminence, Midway, Pleasureville, Stamping
Ground, Bryant, Benson and Hatton.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* At 925 AM EDT, Highway department and public reported flash
flooding on Highway 127 in Frankfort which had water over two lanes
of traffic. A creek overflowing near Graefenburg flooded a church
parking lot and backyard of a house. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

portions of Indiana and Kentucky.
