The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Fayette County in southeastern West Virginia...
  Northeastern Raleigh County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 1145 AM EDT.

* At 738 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Babcock State Park, Mount Hope, Piney View, Stanaford, Bradley,
  Prosperity, Meadow Bridge, Pax and Artie.

This includes the following highways...
Route 19 between mile markers 1 and 7...and near mile marker 25.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 128 and 137. West
Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 51 and 56.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
