* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Sanders County in northwestern Montana...
Eastern Mineral County in west central Montana...
Southwestern Missoula County in west central Montana...
* Until 430 PM MDT.
* At 408 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest
of Frenchtown, or 20 miles northwest of Missoula, moving southeast
at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Quarter size hail. Heavy rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected. Heavy rainfall will cause
localized flooding and water/debris flows in flood prone
areas.
* Locations impacted include...
Alberton, Frenchtown, Wye, Evaro, Huson and Ninemile, and portions
of Interstate 90.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
