* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
North central La Paz County in west central Arizona...
* Until 545 PM MST.
* At 505 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Buckskin
Mountain Park, or near Parker Dam, moving northeast at 5 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Parker and Buckskin Mountain Park.
This includes AZ Route 95 between mile markers 142 and 146, between
mile markers 148 and 154, and between mile markers 156 and 160.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
