The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  West central Calhoun County in central South Carolina...
  Northwestern Orangeburg County in central South Carolina...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 632 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles south of
  Gaston, or 16 miles northwest of Orangeburg, moving southeast at 15
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  North and Woodford.

This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 133 and 142.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR WEST CENTRAL CALHOUN AND
NORTHWESTERN ORANGEBURG COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 715 PM EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Columbia.
