* At 351 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wilkesboro,
moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

At 417 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near North
Wilkesboro, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

deadly cloud to ground lightning. For your safety, move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away
from windows.
Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in
ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and
minor flooding of creeks, streams, and areas of poor drainage.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution to avoid
hydroplaning.

SOUTHEASTERN WILKES AND SOUTHWESTERN YADKIN COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT
445 PM EDT...
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small
hail, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this
thunderstorm.
