The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Cumberland County in south central Kentucky...
  Southwestern Adair County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 714 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest
  of Columbia, moving southeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gradyville, Cundiff, Gadberry, Breeding, Bliss, Fairplay, Chance,
  Inroad, Nell, and Flatwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN CUMBERLAND AND
SOUTHWESTERN ADAIR COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 800 PM CDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, heavy
rain is still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
south central Kentucky.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Louisville.
