* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Nelson County in central Kentucky...
  Northwestern Green County in central Kentucky...
  Larue County in central Kentucky...
  Northeastern Hart County in central Kentucky...

* Until 845 PM EDT/745 PM CDT/.

* At 822 PM EDT/722 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located near
  Hodgenville, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hodgenville, Upton, Talley, Boundary Oak, Howardstown, Maxine,
  Magnolia, Jonesville, Mathers Mill, and Leafdale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN NELSON...
NORTHWESTERN GREEN...LARUE AND NORTHEASTERN HART COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE
AT 845 PM EDT/745 PM CDT/...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, heavy
rain is still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT/900
PM CDT/ for central Kentucky.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
