The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Alexander County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Central Iredell County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 532 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest
  of Statesville, or 5 miles northeast of Stony Point, moving south
  at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Statesville, Troutman, Stony Point, Scotts, Love Valley, and
  Catawba.

building.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN ALEXANDER AND
CENTRAL IREDELL COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, small hail and
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
portions of Iredell County.
