The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  East central Carbon County in south central Wyoming...
  Southwestern Albany County in southeastern Wyoming...

* Until 545 PM MDT.

* At 454 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Elk Mountain,
  or 40 miles east of Rawlins, moving southeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Rock River, Elk Mountain, Fort Steele Historic Site, Turpin
  Reservoir, Brooklyn Lake, Brooklyn Lake Campground, McFadden, Bow
  River Campground, Deep Creek Campground, Nash Fork Campground,
  North Fork Campground, Arlington, and Centennial.

This includes Interstate 80 in Wyoming between mile markers 225 and
287.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK
SHELTER IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR EAST CENTRAL CARBON AND
SOUTHWESTERN ALBANY COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 545 PM MDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
