Northwestern Cherokee County in Upstate South Carolina...
* Until 530 PM EDT.
* At 437 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest
of Gaffney, or 4 miles east of Cowpens National Battlefield, moving
southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
* Locations impacted include...
Gaffney, Cowpens National Battlefield, Thicketty, Draytonville, and
Cherokee Falls.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY
IS CANCELLED...
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However, gusty winds and
heavy rain are still possible with thunderstorms across western
Cherokee County through 600 PM.
