The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Rock Island County in northwestern Illinois...
  Southwestern Whiteside County in northwestern Illinois...
  Northeastern Scott County in east central Iowa...
  Southern Clinton County in east central Iowa...

* Until 915 AM CDT.

* At 819 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Delmar to Welton to Walnut Grove Park, moving
  southeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated. This line of storms has a history of 
           producing wind damage across portions of eastern Iowa.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Davenport, Bettendorf, Clinton, Eldridge, DeWitt, Camanche, Le
  Claire, Hampton, Port Byron, Rapids City, Albany, Princeton, Long
  Grove, Wheatland, Cordova, Grand Mound, Calamus, Donahue,
  McCausland, and Low Moor.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 74 in Iowa near mile marker 1.
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 289 and 306.
 Interstate 80 in Illinois near mile marker 1.
 Interstate 88 between mile markers 6 and 14.
 Interstate 280 near mile marker 1.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread 
wind damage across portions of eastern Iowa. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN ROCK ISLAND...SOUTHWESTERN WHITESIDE...NORTHEASTERN
SCOTT AND SOUTHEASTERN CLINTON COUNTIES...

At 849 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Camanche to near Port Byron to Campbells Island,
moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. This line of storms has a history of 
         producing wind damage across portions of eastern Iowa.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Bettendorf, Clinton, Eldridge, DeWitt, Camanche, Le
Claire, Hampton, Port Byron, Rapids City, Albany, Princeton, Long
Grove, Cordova, McCausland, Low Moor, East Clinton, Hillsdale,
