The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Putnam County in north central Illinois...
  Southern Bureau County in north central Illinois...

* Until 1030 AM CDT.

* At 933 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Zearing to Providence, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hennepin, Spring Valley, DePue, Granville, Tiskilwa, Buda, Bureau
  Junction, McNabb, Putnam, Mark, Magnolia, Standard, Providence,
  Lake Thunderbird, Florid, and Lone Tree Corners.

This includes Interstate 180 between mile markers 1 and 8.
 
This also includes Donnelley DePue State Fish and Wildlife Area and
Mautino State Fish & Wildlife Area.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

FOR PUTNAM AND SOUTHEASTERN BUREAU COUNTIES...

At 950 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from La Salle to Marshall-Putnam County Fairgrounds, moving
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
