The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Cedar County in east central Iowa...
  Northwestern Scott County in east central Iowa...

* Until 715 AM CDT.

* At 618 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Rochester, or
  near Tipton, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near...
  Bennett, Sunbury, and Bennett Park around 625 AM CDT.
  Durant and New Liberty around 630 AM CDT.
  Big Rock and Camp Liberty around 635 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include
Walcott, Dixon, Plainview, Maysville, Donahue and Eldridge.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 262 and 286.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
