* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Benton County in east central Iowa...
  Iowa County in east central Iowa...

* Until 730 AM CDT.

* At 639 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hannen Lake
  Park, or near Marengo, moving southeast at 60 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Marengo, Williamsburg, Belle Plaine, Walford, Blairstown, Keystone,
  Norway, Ladora, Luzerne, Amana, Conroy, Middle Amana, South Amana,
  Homestead, West Amana, Upper South Amana, East Amana, Genoa Bluff,
  Hannen Lake Park, and Watkins.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 212 and 229.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

FOR SOUTHEASTERN BENTON AND NORTHERN IOWA COUNTIES...

At 650 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over West Amana, or
near Marengo, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Marengo, Williamsburg, Walford, Blairstown, Norway, Ladora, Luzerne,
Amana, Conroy, Middle Amana, South Amana, Homestead, West Amana,
Upper South Amana, East Amana, Hannen Lake Park, Watkins, High Amana,
and Iowa County Fairgrounds.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN BENTON AND
NORTHEASTERN IOWA COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning has
been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 PM CDT for
east central Iowa.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
the Quad Cities.
