Northeastern Bennett County in southwestern South Dakota...
Southeastern Jackson County in southwestern South Dakota...
* Until 1130 PM MDT /1230 AM CDT/.
* At 1029 PM MDT /1129 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located
along a line from near Intersection of Highway 83 and White River
to 7 miles southeast of Long Valley, or along a line from 11 miles
north of White River to 23 miles northeast of Martin, moving
southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Mission, White River, Rosebud, Saint Francis, Parmelee, Okreek,
Spring Creek, Long Valley, Norris, Wood, Cedar Butte, Mosher, Upper
Cut Meat, Horse Creek, Swift Bear, Soldier Creek, Ring Thunder,
Fairgrounds Housing, He Dog and Antelope.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 170
and 174.

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

NORTHEASTERN BENNETT AND SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON COUNTIES...
At 1038 PM MDT /1138 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along
a line from over Intersection of Highway 83 and White River to 9
miles southwest of Norris, or along a line from 9 miles north of
White River to 26 miles northeast of Martin, moving southeast at 40
mph.
THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR CEDAR BUTTE, WHITE RIVER.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Automated observations.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
