The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Logan County in northeastern Colorado...

* Until 615 PM MDT.

* At 535 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
  12 miles northeast of Westplains to near Pawnee Pass, or along a
  line from 27 miles north of Sterling to 17 miles west of Sterling,
  moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Peetz, North Sterling Reservoir and Padroni.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.

NORTHWESTERN LOGAN COUNTY...

At 547 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 9
miles west of Peetz to near Pawnee Pass, or along a line from 26
miles north of Sterling to 13 miles west of Sterling, moving east at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING HAS EXPIRED FOR NORTHWESTERN LOGAN
COUNTY...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire. However, small
hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain are still possible with these
thunderstorms.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT
Wednesday for a portion of northeast Colorado.
