The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Eastern Logan County in northeastern Colorado...
* Until 645 PM MDT.
* At 606 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
5 miles northeast of Peetz to near Sterling, or along a line from
27 miles north of Sterling to near Sterling, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Eastern Sterling, Fleming, Iliff, Crook, Proctor, Twin Buttes and
Reiradon Hill.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

east at 15 mph.
