* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Dickenson County in southwestern Virginia...

* Until 1015 PM EDT.

* At 936 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Gaskill, or 7
  miles west of Clintwood, moving southeast at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Clintwood, Trammel, Clinchco, McClure, and Nora.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

At 1003 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of
Trammel, or 8 miles south of Clintwood, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN DICKENSON COUNTY
WILL EXPIRE AT 1015 PM EDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Charleston West Virginia.
