The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Piatt County in central Illinois...
  Southern Champaign County in east central Illinois...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 316 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mansfield, or
  8 miles north of Monticello, moving southeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near...
  Mansfield, Seymour, and White Heath around 320 PM CDT.
  Bondville around 325 PM CDT.
  Champaign around 330 PM CDT.
  Savoy and Willard Airport around 335 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include
Urbana, Tolono and Philo.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 57 between mile markers 222 and 240.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 166 and 182.
 Interstate 74 between mile markers 161 and 190.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
