The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Crawford County in west central Iowa...
  Northwestern Carroll County in west central Iowa...

* Until 515 AM CDT.

* At 444 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 6 miles south of Charter Oak, or 13 miles west of
  Denison, moving northeast at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Denison around 455 AM CDT.
  Deloit around 500 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Kiron,
Charter Oak, Deloit, Vail, Westside, Schleswig, Denison Municipal
Airport, and Arion.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 515 AM CDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for
west central Iowa.
