...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...San Bernardino County in southern California...

* WHEN...Until 900 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may
  become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 603 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Radar indicates that an inch of
    rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Amboy, Amboy Road, Kellbaker Road, and National Trails Highway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  - At 722 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Off ramps along Interstate 40 and National Trails Highway between
    Ludlow and Amboy are the most likely places to experience minor
    flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Amboy, Amboy Road, Kelbaker Road, and National Trails Highway.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 9 PM PDT this evening for a portion
of southern California, including the following area, San Bernardino.

The heavy rain has ended. However, a Flash Flood Warning remains in
effect for National Trails Highway between Ludlow and Amboy until
9:15 PM PDT. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
