...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern Indiana, including the following 
  counties, Cass IN and Miami.

* WHEN...Until 345 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 146 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
    rain have fallen just in the last 3 hours.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Logansport, Grissom Afb, Bunker Hill, Royal Center, Miami,
    Onward, Anoka, Nead, Bennetts Switch, Wawpecong, Santa Fe and
    Lake Cicott.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 345 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 345 PM EDT this afternoon for a 
portion of northern Indiana, including the following areas, Cass IN 
and Miami.

The heavy rain has ended, however there are continued threats for 
showers and thunderstorms between the next 12 to 24 hours. Please 
continue to heed remaining road closures.
