* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Lincoln County in south central Nevada...
* WHEN...Until 645 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 340 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of Southwestern Lincoln County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 645 PM PDT this evening for a
portion of south central Nevada, including the following area,
Lincoln.
Widespread heavy rain has ended. Despite scattered storms around,
flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 800 PM PDT Friday for portions
of northwest Arizona and south central Nevada...
