The North and South Canyon Wash Basins downstream of the Dragon
Bravo Fire scar in...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...
* Until 400 PM MST /500 PM MDT/.
* At 100 PM MST /200 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain over the North Canyon and South Canyon Wash
Basins downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar. Between 0.5 and
1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the North and South Canyon
Wash Basins downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar.

North and South Canyon Wash Basins downstream of the

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Saddle Mountain Wilderness, Bert Lopers Boat, Royal Arches, Triple
Alcoves, Point Hansbrough, Anasazi Foot Bridge and North Rim
Entrance Station.
This includes the following highways...
State Route 67 between mile markers 609 and 610. the Colorado River
between river miles 17 and 21...and near river mile 32...and between
river miles 37 and 47.
This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
House Rock Camp Site, 18 Mile Wash Camp Site, 18 Mile Ledges Camp
Site, Above Willie Taylor Camp Site, Willie Taylor Camp Site, Triple
Alcoves Camp Site, Duck N Quack Camp Site, Upper Saddle Camp Site and
Lower Saddle Camp Site.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
North Canyon, Bright Angel Creek, North Canyon Wash, South Canyon,
Tatahatso Wash and Saddle Canyon.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Flash flooding is occurring or imminent downstream of the Dragon
Bravo Fire scar. Severe debris flow are expected across roads and in
remote canyon drainages on the Kaibab Plateau east of State Route 67.
Campers and hikers should get away from creeks and move to higher
ground immediately! Stay away or be swept away!
Get out of washes and creeks if you are camping or hiking! Flooding
is occurring or imminent and will inundate creeks and washes.

MST /5 PM MDT/ THIS AFTERNOON FOR COCONINO COUNTY...
At 144 PM MST /244 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain over the North and South Canyon Wash Basins
downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to
0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is

PM MDT/ THIS EVENING FOR COCONINO COUNTY...
The heavy rain has ended over North and South Canyon washes within
the Dragon Bravo Fire scar. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect
for the Dragon Bravo Fire scar along Bright Angel Creek until 815 PM
MST this evening, please refer to that bulletin for further
information.
