The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Yavapai County in west central Arizona...
* Until 700 PM MST.
* At 401 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

Congress, Escapees North Ranch, Wickenburg Ranch, Lake Pleasant,
Tres Alamos Wilderness, Bullard Peak, Cottonwood Day Use Area,
Castle Creek Boat Ramp, Goose Bay, Coles Bay, Humbug Bay, Casa Rosa
and Flores.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 93 between mile markers 172 and 196. State Route 71 between
mile markers 90 and 109. State Route 89 between mile markers 258 and
269.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Antelope Creek, Sols Wash, Martinez Creek, Martinez Wash, Agua Fria
River, Buckhorn Creek, Humbug Creek, Date Creek, Weaver Creek,
Miller Wash, Cottonwood Creek, Santa Maria River, Hamlin Wash,
French Creek, Castle Creek, Bitter Creek, Hassayampa River, Little
Buckhorn Creek, Black Canyon Wash and Bullard Wash.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.

* At 649 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

flash flooding.
