* Flash Flood Warning for...
Gila County in east central Arizona...
* Until 715 PM MST.
* At 418 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Star Valley, Gisela, Round Valley, Oak Spring Canyon and Hellsgate
Wilderness.
This includes State Route 188 near mile marker 268.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Tonto Creek in Gila County in east central Arizona...
* Until 1215 AM MST.
* At 1005 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain has ended
across the warned area from Gisela northward. However, between 1
and 3 inches of rain fell earlier this evening, and flooding is
still expected along Tonto Creek south of Gisela through midnight.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in this
area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Oak Spring Canyon.

FOR TONTO CREEK IN GILA COUNTY...
Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain has ended over Tonto
Creek. With no additional rainfall expected, the Flash Flood Warning
will be allowed to expire. Use caution around area washes as flow
will remain elevated.
