The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Navajo County in north central Arizona...
  Apache County in northeastern Arizona...

* Until 515 PM MST /615 PM MDT/.

* At 216 PM MST /316 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.25 and 2
  inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
           underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Jeddito, Toyei, White Cone, Spider Mound and Na Ah Tee.

This includes State Route 264 between mile markers 410 and 422.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Beshbito Wash, Bidahochi Wash, Jeddito Wash, Coyote Wash,
  Ha-whi-yalin Wash, Keams Canyon Wash and Steamboat Wash.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

MDT/ THIS AFTERNOON FOR NAVAJO AND APACHE COUNTIES...

At 401 PM MST /501 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.25
inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no
additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.
